The Delaware Workplace Safety Program inspection officer monitors, documents, and analyzes safety conditions at your company. These include, but are not limited to:

• Three years of documented workplace injury files or data
• An understanding of the identification of potential hazardous conditions, and a commitment to limit them

OSHA regulations are federal rules that are more specific, and are not addressed by this inspector. OSHA violations could result in fines to the employer.

After the inspection, the Delaware Insurance Commissioner’s Office will provide your employer with the results and your employer will find out if they qualify for a lower insurance premium. The Delaware Workplace Safety Program works in coordination with the Delaware Compensation Rating Bureau and the Delaware Insurance Commissioner’s Office.
